Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information SheetKitty collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the SheetKitty Google Sheets Add-on ("Add-on"), you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: SheetKitty does not see your spreadsheet data, does not sell your data, and does not store your Google Sheets content on our servers. Your data stays in your Google environment.
1. Who We Are
SheetKitty is a Google Workspace Add-on that runs within your Google account. We are an independent developer and are not affiliated with Google LLC. Questions about this policy can be sent to admin@sheetkitty.com.
2. What Data We Collect
SheetKitty collects minimal data required to provide and improve the service:
- Google Account Information: When you authorize the Add-on, Google provides your email address and basic profile info (name, profile picture) so we can identify your account and manage your subscription.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage statistics — such as which features are used most frequently — to improve the Add-on. This data cannot be traced back to individual users.
- Subscription & Billing Data: If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor. SheetKitty receives confirmation of payment status but does not store your full payment card details.
- Support Communications: If you contact us via email, we retain those communications to assist you and improve our support.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
SheetKitty does not collect, transmit, or store:
- The contents of your Google Sheets, Docs, Drive files, or any other Google Workspace data
- Any data processed by the Add-on's automation features — all processing occurs locally within your Google account environment
- Your Google account password or authentication tokens beyond the OAuth scope required for the Add-on to function
4. Google API Scopes
The Add-on requests only the Google API permissions (OAuth scopes) necessary for its functionality — for example, permission to read and edit spreadsheets you explicitly open with the Add-on. SheetKitty's use of data obtained through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Add-on and its features
- To manage your subscription and communicate billing-related information
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- To send product updates, feature announcements, or important notices (you may opt out at any time)
- To comply with legal obligations
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
SheetKitty does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Payment processors: To complete transactions on your behalf
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or regulatory authority
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. You will be notified of any such change.
SheetKitty retains full discretion over any data sharing decisions not covered by these Terms, and its decisions are final.
7. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and business purposes. You may request deletion of your data by contacting admin@sheetkitty.com. SheetKitty will evaluate and respond to all deletion requests at its sole discretion.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is 100% secure, and SheetKitty cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Add-on is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us immediately at admin@sheetkitty.com.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact admin@sheetkitty.com. SheetKitty will review and respond to all requests at its sole discretion, and its determination on any request is final.
11. Changes to This Policy
SheetKitty reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on the SheetKitty website. Continued use of the Add-on after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. SheetKitty's interpretation of this policy is final in all circumstances.
